NewCom Development, LLC was formed in 2006, with H.C. “Chuck” Harcrow as its Managing Member and President. As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), all of our projects will go through a certification process under USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) criteria. With its office headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida and NewCom Development, LLC’s diverse development experience, they are capable of meeting their clients’ commercial real estate needs anywhere in the Southeastern United States.

At NewCom Development our mission is to create commercial real estate projects that provide our clients and tenants with workplaces, retail stores, distribution centers and offices that are environmentally sustainable, superior quality, and well maintained. LEED certification provides credits for satisfying specified green building criteria. By utilizing this method of design and construction there is a reduction in offsite storm water discharge, lighting pollution to surrounding neighborhoods, and lower demand on water and wastewater systems. This LEED rating has been and will continue to be utilized by both private and state and federal agencies as the means of measurement for green building. By using recycled building products both at a regional and local level, the demand for fuel and other resources for shipping materials and products are lowered.

Another advantage of building “Green” is increased indoor air quality of all building spaces by utilizing low-odor building finishes and technologically advanced HVAC systems. There is an increase in thermal comfort standards by implementing enhanced design and verification procedures to ensure proper HVAC performance.
